In 2014, my partner and I participated in the Young Lions Competition with the print ad below. Days before officially announcing the winners, we got an email from USA Today letting us know we "won" the 1st place for the Print Category.
However, hours later we got a call where they told us we were not the team for the win, and that the email confirmation was a huge mistake they made. (See the email screenshot below :)
Anyhow, it felt good to believe we were the winners for a couple of hours, because, for not even a second, we doubted the power of our work. Next time we'll see you at Cannes.
