Hi, I’m Val
A Venezuelan-born Creative Director.
Inclusive and diverse work has been a passion of mine, so much so that about a decade ago, I pivoted my career to join agencies with a more global approach to their projects and clients.
It was then, when I started to see the real challenges that drive the advertising industry to live off minorities' misconceptions. I saw big network agencies and independent shops struggle to hire and promote diverse talent (different-able, female, young, old, queer, black, latinx...) and continue to run on all kind of biases to create 'global and relatable' campaigns.

I take action every day by getting involved. I push for inclusive strategies and creative thinking that defies old tropes. This effort has landed my work in breakthrough creative that has been praised by clients, valued by consumers and recognized by the advertising industry.
In addition to this, I have been fortunate enough to mentor younger generations through initiatives like the One Show portfolio review 2017-2023 and D&AD New Blood program in 2017. As a juror for film, radio, interactive and innovation categories, I have participated in The New York Festival, The One Show, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, The Clio Awards and The American Advertising Awards Miami among others. Last but not least, in 2022 I was featured in Ad Age's Creative Flavor Series among some of the most prestigious multicultural creatives in the ad industry today.
The effectiveness of my work, and my holistic approach to today’s ad challenges, are a true testament of our collective responsibility to turn advertisers into critical agents of change.
